as they seem to be the trend these days...( didnt bother myself in the last century)

the worst most self indulgent one we ever saw was a seed bag to plant to think of the couple...bridezilla?!

Oh and a parchment scroll to thank you for coming.

Yes and most of the guests planted them. I don't think it was self indulgent at all

A bag of random sweets - my wedding Didn't give it any thought, couldn't care less about such things.

I don't think I've ever had a bridal favour at a wedding. What is one anyway? Is it like a party bag without the plastic shite?

Greensneeze · 13/05/2009 17:42

Are you SURE they planted them and didn't flick 'em out of the train window on the way home?

A magnet with a pic of the couple on holiday. To put on our fridge.

Went to a posh wedding once, Brides Dad was loaded. We were given beautiful glass candle holder things, very modern and classy.
I got so drunk I left it in the marquee.

Yum to the jelly beans.

at the fridge magnet. That surely wins the prize.

We have had the usual, sugared almonds etc. My cousin gave everyone glass paperweights.

Ours were kitsch. We gave out gingerbread hearts with our names and the date iced on them. www.google.ch/imgres?imgurl=www.geschenke-bestellen24.de/geschenkideen/images/items/Le bkuchenherz-XXL-flower-im.jpg&imgrefurl=www.geschenke-bestellen24.de/Geschenkideen/XXL-Lebkuc henherz-Lebkuchenherzen-flowers-mit-Wunschtext.php&h=300&w=350&sz=32&tbnid=0lUDoBeUq9tsuM::&tbnh=103 &tbnw=120&prev=/images%3Fq%3Dlebkuchen%2Bherzen&usg=_EzIVWGrW9MMo2TYWT1L4X8MkgQg=&ei=YoKSvzpJs2XA bR5OGdCw&sa=X&oi=imageresult&resnum=1&ct=image this

We gave out sod all. The guests were expected to consider themselves lucky to get all that Sangria. The children did get giant bags of plastic tat from Hawkins, though.
