Can someone WRITE me a story to go with the nasty feely box at Halloween?

Just the bare bones but I'm hopeless at that sort of thing! I can picture the scene- 7 boys aged 7-11 sitting around the black tableclothed table in the dining room, lights off except perhaps for some candles placed high. Me (as a witch!) telling a Tutankhamum style story as a dark box with handhole is passed around with the 'nasty' of which I speak inside- with DH changing the contents between each. So I will need a bit of story 'filler' to use some time up whilst HE performs.

I'm thinking eyeballs, bones, worms, cockroaches, brains perhaps (what for them?). Maybe 7 or 8 nasties.

Can anyone help me at shortish notice? Party is Saturday night!

just a thought, and it may not be quite what you have in mind...instead of having the yucky stuff in one box, why not have it in several bin liners- i mean one binliner with spaghetti, another with grapes, etc. this way you could have more than one bag of yuccky stuff being passed round the circle at once plus no waiting time between content changes, so the children wont be bored/start fidgeting?

This is how we've done it when ive helped with childrens halloween parties in the past.

Can I bump for any evening MNetters who maybe aren't upto their eyeballs in their own Halloween party tonight?

By Tutankhamum do you mean Eygpt and mummies and so on? I'll do you one when the kids have gone to bed if you like.

You gem! Yes, my thoughts were along the lines of "I, Lucretia the witch, have lived for many, many centuries. I remember one PARTICULAR event that somehow sticks in my mind- it was all so HORRIBLE! -cackle!" etc

These are my 'props'

Mashed jelly as brains

Latex glove filled with twirly pasta as a skeletal hand

Small spaghetti bits with a slick of oil as maggots

Grapes in jelly- eyeballs!

Tinned toms and spaghetti, warmed, as guts

Raisins as cockroaches

Twiglets as mouse bones

Let me know if you can think of any others!

Again, thanks.

Sorry - monsters are refusing to go to sleep. I'll be back soon....

You could also try googling ghost stories - I've found a few for inspiration!
