Does anyone know what I could get 2 people for their birthdays?

One is my sort of sister in law, the other Dhs cousin. I don't really know them so have no idea what to get them. Last year I gave them £20 each in a card... I can't really afford £40 this time, as we are going out also so I will have to buy them drinks, and fund myself and a new top. And I don't like giving money generally, but definatly think £10 each in a card looks abit thoughtless somehow... Any ideas what I could get them? They are late 20's. Pref. around a tenner also if it's possible.

I thought wine but one I think doesn't drink much (not sure i've seen her drink bar alcho pops) the other is mainly vodka...
