2nd birthday present

It's my DDs 2nd birthday at the beginning of Oct and I am completely stumped for a present idea.

She already seems to have any obvious contenders - pop-up tent/trike/wheelybug/dolls pushchair/sandpit etc.

Help. Doesn't have to be 'big' or expensive, just something that she'll enjoy.

Craft box? My DS loves sitting and painting, cutting, drawing, sticking, etc..

bubble machine from ELC

Great idea mishy - but I've looked for these before and they all seemed to have small bits in them. She still can't be relied upon not to eat things at the speed of light.

Any idea where I could get a safe one. I suppose I could get a box with compartments in and make up my own.

DS just turned two.

His favourtie presents -

1. large aqua draw - spent hours on it.
2. elc kitchen

Bubble machine's a good one too, but she already got one for Easter. My friends and family are just far too generous smile

A dog that flips over and barks volia

A tea set

A train set

Blocks (mega or duplo)

A kite

A set of diggers/trucks

A set of baby animals

A garage with ramp for whizzing cars down

An easel with finger paint set

A postbox and letters

A kitchen with food and plates (ELC do a good wooden one)

I second the kitchen - DS loves the one at his nursery more than anything else in the world!

RambleOn Fri 22-Aug-08 21:56:12

Aqua draw? What's that then?

Kitchen good - does it have a sink? She is constantly harassing me to sit on our draining board and pour water everywhere grin

mishymoo Fri 22-Aug-08 21:58:13

Yip - make your own! I bought one of those plastic containers with lids and then went to ELC and bought stuff that was suitable.

Also, a Playdoh set is great fun!

RambleOn Fri 22-Aug-08 21:58:49

Oh no Slur - she has nearly everything on your list. She's spoilt isn't she blush

Easel - doesn't have one of these.

V gd, DD plays with it a lot

mishymoo Fri 22-Aug-08 22:00:17

Yes - Aquadraw is brilliant! look here

MingMingtheWonderPet Fri 22-Aug-08 22:00:24

Aquadraw here

Set me straight on the Playdoh thing - it says on the packaging that it's washable.
Is this true?

I am usually not house proud enough to spoil her fun, but the house is shortly going on the market and could do without playdoh in the carpet smile

MingMingtheWonderPet Fri 22-Aug-08 22:01:29

Easel is gd, if you get one try and get one where you can hang a roll of lining paper from it. <uch cheaper than buying loads of sheets of paper.

mishymoo Fri 22-Aug-08 22:02:39

Nope not the easiest thing to get out of a carpet but we sit at the dining room table which is covered and he has to play on a plastic tray!

RambleOn Fri 22-Aug-08 22:06:04

That Aquadraw looks great.

Thanks everyone. Have an outline xmas list as well now grin

kathryn77 Fri 22-Aug-08 22:08:17

kitchen does have a sink, and at the moment is on offer in elc and get a free pot & pan set.

Think someone else explained aqua drwer. they are great and no mess!

the other pressie he loved was a postman pat set, think about £20 from woolies, was for 3 plus but has a van, postman pat, police car etc, and he loves it.

mishymoo Fri 22-Aug-08 22:08:43

Just had another thought - what about a trolley and groceries?

mishymoo Fri 22-Aug-08 22:09:18

Dressing up box?

RambleOn Fri 22-Aug-08 22:12:22

A kitchen sink AND pots and pans!

Trolley and groceries!

Wow - I'm excited now. I'll She'll have great fun with those.

I wish I was 2 again grin

RambleOn Fri 22-Aug-08 22:14:09

Arrgh - dressing up box. Great one. She loves prancing around with handbags/glasses/hats.

mishymoo Fri 22-Aug-08 22:15:24

This is helping me with my Christmas list as well grin! Thinking of buying DS a dressing up box!
