Am making tea style sandwiches. . .

I know if you make them too far in advance they bread can go stale.

Can I make them now, wrap them in cling film, and will they be OK for eating at 1pm?

And should I refrigerate them in the meantime?

sorry - children do care. LL is right if it is cucumber type watery thing will go soggy. If it is cheese or marmite will be better.

Can you butter bread, prep filling and knock them together last minute?
