I plan on having a New Year’s Eve party for family members from another town . Normally we travel over to them and my DP doesn’t drink so we don’t need to bother worrying about taxis . This year we want to host however already some of the people we have invited are asking to stay which is fine however I really need to make it clear to them in the nicest possible way that they need to make their own way home on New Years Day . Any suggestions how to do this not all of them drive however as they’re all heading home to the same place I was going to price a taxi for them and tell them they could chip in .

I'd just send them some local taxi numbers and advise prebooking as it's NYD?

You could say you have plans on NYD so they'll need to leave by x time?

Ahaha good idea I could say we are going for dinner at my parents and they are picking us up at noon so that might encourage them to make plans to get home .
