1st birthday party

Ok so it's my baby girls first birthday party in June and I don't know what to do for her birthday what did you do for your baby's 1st birthday party?

I want it to be special but I don't want to go overboard.
her birthday falls on a Sunday and I've got a lot of family and friends who would want to see her for her birthday do I see them all on one day invite them all round my house for a party or meet them out somewhere or should I do two separate party's one for my friends/my baby's friends and one for all my family and DH (darling husband) family?

Also should I have her party/party's the days leading up to her birthday and spend her actual birthday on the Sunday with just me her and my hubby and go to the zoo or aquarium or something like that what do you think let me know what you did or are planning to do for your baby's 1st birthday??

For each of my dcs' 1st birthday parties, we had a little tea party in our house with their Grandparents and our siblings (and nieces) who lived locally.
