My son's friend is doing his first communion and as I am not Catholic I have no idea what to buy as a present. I can club together with another friend's mum to get something nice.
Any ideas?

Oh I like that Grin it's funny. My husband says it's a confirmation not first communion... Does that make any difference?

Yes it does make a slight difference communion is normally aged 7-8 prehaps 9

Confirmation is 12 -13-14. Depenting on area

So the brick bible might not be appriote

Tbh, mostly you just get money for confimation rather than a present

Money or gadgets.
They really really don't want anything godly, at least here in Italy. The religious gifts are given for the baptism.

I still love the brick bible but probably he's too old.

An Italian friend got ds a beautiful wallet for his First Communion but he also received a lovely Christian wall icon from his Godmother.

Cash and card for Confirmation! You could do nice piece of jewellery for a girl of the same age but less easy for a boy.
