Men's white shirts would probably be £1 in a charity shop.

I did it once with white bin bags and a black sharpie to draw on buttons / pocket. Cut head and arm holes and then popped them over their heads.

Thanks all. I had already found those Amazon ones but £18.99 + £2.99 delivery for 10 means it's £44 for 20 which is way more than I was looking to spend for what is essentially just for a bit of fun as an extra.

The company doing the science provide goggles, so I don't need those thanks.

Buying 20 shirts is definitely out of budget too.

I'm doing a rainbow theme for all the tablewear and decorations as it's a bit of a connection to science, so I wondered about these just to protect their clothes when they make the slime:
They just aren't very sciency though.

Yes, a man's shirt would def be more environmental and 2 quid each for 20 quids is not even that cheap.

Oh look a bit cheaper www.amazon.co.uk/FSD-Kids-Disposable-Coat-PACK/dp/B00L8VE4N4?tag=mumsnetforum-21.

Basically I googled 'children's disposable lab coats UK'.

Have fun!

(And I bet you can get them for less than £2.49 plus they can go back to the charity shop as rags afterwards - hence not disposing of them - Oxfam take rags).

I had a lab "coat" as a student that was a men's white shirt from a charity shop (I, as a smaller woman, found it just right). It's the kind of thing where you could pin up the sleeves/use an elastic band like a sleeve garter so keeping the cuffs?

I don't know about lab coats, I think you'd struggle to get small ones for a reasonable cost, but you can get safety goggles from B&Q for a few quid

Bumping for the daytime crowd as I wrote this at ridiculous-o'clock when my mind was whirring with party details!

... and provided lab coats for the children, where did you buy them? I've got 20 children coming so need them to be as cheap as possible!

Thanks in advance smile
