budget party for 5 yo

Hi all, I am in a great need for a good advice. My daughter's 5th birthday is on the weekday when she is at school and we would love to organise a b/d party for her. However, she has been invited on Sunday same week, so our options are either to do it on a day when the b/d is actually is or move it on Saturday. There are not many venues here (small town), most of them required minimum 10 guests which we doubt we are going to have. To do it at home is not an option - in the middle of moving houses, boxes everywhere. I wonder would it be possible to do it at school? I start to think that this is the only option (apart from booking some random cafe and invite kids over there). Is it OK to ask at school for things like that? I know there is a nut free food policy, so we would make sure that the b/d cake is with no nuts and also provide some drinks, baloons. And then just have a family b/d party over the weekend.. some help pls!

There is no way you can do this at school, unless you are simply hiring the school hall as you would any other venue. The school cannot be seen to treat your child's birthday party as school "event".

If you really can't do it at home (if you're only having a small number of children is there no scope for just moving boxes against the wall and having a craft type party so not too much moving about)? I'd suggest risking the park and a picnic or having it in a random cafe / McDonalds (particularly if you have a random cafe with some sort of attached play area)

You can’t do it at scho. If it’s only a few guests is there a plaster painting cafe where you live? Otherwise second park type party.

I would just have it at home, boxes or no boxes. Tell her she can invite two or three friends straight after school. Pick them all up, take them back,to yours.

Thank you guys! i have just remembered there is a small cafe in the park next to our house, and luckily one of our best friends (and first love!) lives same street with us. So i will go there tomorrow and try to book it.
