Harry Potter party

DS has requested a Harry Potter party for his 7th birthday. Has anyone ever organised one before, if so what did you do for entertainment? Did you book an entertainer or make your own party games? Any ideas welcome

How about a potions class? There’s lots of ideas for basic chemistry experiments online - make slime or coloured vinegar and add bicarbonate so it foams everywhere.
Quidditch on bikes or even on foot?
They sell chocolate frogs and Bertie bots beans at Harry Potter world and I’m sure also online.
I want to come!

My daughter went to one. They'd booked some kind of science guy party entertainer who made slime and potions with the kids, divided them into the 4 houses for games. It was the party of the year!

Thanks for your quick replies. I have just started a Pinterest board for it!! Love the idea of the potions class and the science guy sounds fab I'll have a Google now
