One of the children invited to DD's birthday party is a vegetarian with dairy and nut allergies. Can anyone suggest what I can feed him other than fruit/veg? I have asked his mother but she hasn't got back to me.

If I was that child’s Mum I wouldn’t be relying on others to feed my child based on those allergies. How old is the child?
How far off is the party? I would chase up the Mum and ask what could you provide, but other than that fruit and veg would be fine.

My son has a nut allergy. I tell party hosts so they know not to allow him to eat whatever he wants and I would hope they wouldnt serve whole nuts (unlikely at a kids party anyway) but I don't expect them to prepare anything for him, just let me know what is safe or what the rest are having so I can bring something similar for ds.

Think mum really needs to get back to you! Really rude.

My son has an anaphylactic dairy allergy and multiple other allergies that cause nasty guy symptoms and hives on his skin - if we go anywhere where food would be served like parties etc, I always take our own food for him. Do you have contact details for the mother so you can bite the bullet and ask her?

Humous with carrot and cucumber sticks for dipping, and plain crisps or salt and vinegar squares, jam sandwiches with a dairy free spread like vitalite or pure, or no spread. Visit the free from aisle for dairy free chocolate and treats, you can even get dairy free ice cream called Swedish glacé, if not fruit is great and sweets like jelly tots maybe if not vegan! My DS has dairy and nut allergies and I always take extra bits like crisps and dairy free chocolate and communicate well with the party host before hand. We are not veggie however! DS is limited enough!!!

You can now get vegan pizzas from most supermarkets.
Falafel
Mini scotch eggs
Tortilla crisps and bread sticks with guacamole, hummus, salsa etc...
Vegan or vegetarian hot dogs/burgers
Popcorn
