Party bags - 9yo boys

I know party bags have been discussed hundreds of times but I’m really struggling this year.

Just taking 5 boys out and they’re all aged 9. Don’t mind spending a bit more of them as there aren’t many of them. Don’t want traditional bag full of tat and don’t want to give them a book as I know it won’t be appreciated.

Am happy to just give them a small gift - in the past have given them all a football when we had a football party. Or a bag with a couple of bits and some sweets, but something a bit different.

This year we’re taking them caving and on high ropes. Quite like the idea of a themed gift/bag but not overly fussed.

Any ideas??

I'm doing a party for 7 year olds and I've just got sweet cones . I know the bag of stuff is cast aside and salt least the sweets will get eaten .

I don't know a lot about caving or climbing but you can buy multiple of carabinas in diff colours from Amazon, maybe something like that might be an idea?

I like the idea of sweet cones actually and then may get a little something to go with it. Thanks!

In the last I've done:
plastic Star Wars beakers filled with smarties
mugs with mini marshmallows and hot chocolate sachets
Where's Wally? book

For a sports party, I gave them all proper drinks bottles that I filled with swash to use during the party and that they could keep to take home afterwards. I think they had minecraft on or something!
