Party Ideas for a Dog-obsessed boy?

He would love a dog and we hope to be in a position to get him one in a year's time. In the meantime, he spends all his time talking about breeds or reading his dog encyclopaedia! His 10th birthday is next month and I'd love some ideas for a small party or outing that will make him really happy ie involve dogs in some way or other. We are in south-east London.

This husky experience is 20 miles south of central London on the North Downs.
"On 'The Husky Hike' you will be greeted by a member of staff and then taken to meet the Huskies that will be joining you. Once the Huskies are ready you will head off on 'The Hike' for approx. 2 miles across North Downs. "
