Prosecco & nibbles at hall party - OTT??

It's my daughter's birthday soon and we're having a party in a hall on Sat afternoon. My OH suggested getting some prosecco & crisps/nuts for the adults as many are going to stay. I'm not sure if it seems like we're trying too hard or if it's not really suitable for a kids party. It's local and most people will be walking so drink driving not an issue. Thx!

I think it sounds nice. I'd certainly appreciate the effort if it was me (assuming ppl aren't all driving)

Do it! Don't go over the top but a small glass wouldn't go astray...

The best ever children's party I went to was a Sunday morning one with pastries, croissants and proper coffee for the adults. It was brilliant! So I can imagine Prosecco and nibbles being well received.

We did tea and coffee and biscuits at the last party we hosted and that went down well too - lots don't do anything for the adults.

Best party was where they had a proper coffee machine and they offered pastries. Weirdest was where they gave the adults a bottle of wine for taking their kids.
I would Only appreciate prosecco at the appropriate time of day

Pretty much all the kids' parties round here have something for the adults. Prosecco, orange juice, beer have all made an appearance with things like bread sticks, cheese boards, crackers, crudités. And of course, everyone hoovers up whatever the kids have left over as well. Grin
