Dd wants a party for her 7th birthday. I'm trying to decide whether to just hire somebody to do it or just hire church hall and do myself. It's in December so a winter wonderland theme. I'm not particular phased by doing the food etc. It's just the entertainment- how to fill an hour? Thought about non messy crafts?? Beading? And then traditional games- pass parcel, musical chairs?

Church hall hire is pretty cheap as can't have it at home as too close to Christmas.

Or should I just throw money at someone and get them to do it??

Do you have any family/friends you can rope in to help? Might be a big undertaking all on your own!

For entertainment what about hiring a kids magician for an hour, or maybe a karaoke machine?

See if you have anyone who does pottery painting locally. I found a lovely woman who brought everything to a venue and had all the girls sat down painting whilst I floated around calmly :)

Sold my soul and booked a soft play! Dd hasn't been to one for ages as I thought she was bit old now. Turns out that's what she wants. Easy peasy, although slightly disappointed I won't be making paper snowflake thingys Grin
