Party is in their local church hall (or similar)
Fifty kids coming (must be bonkers).
Boys and girls from swimming, gym, football club and school.
How to keep costs down but not look like a skinflint?
All ideas welcome! Party is in three weeks!

Not quite sure how you can keep it all that cheap with so many guests!
Buy food from Lidl, B and M etc?
Poundland carry some MLP tat, if you wanted to do party bags.
I guess possibly a craft party, and devise some crafts from Poundland packs of card, stickers etc? But that would probably be really hard to do with so many children.
Disco and lots of packs of balloons?
Good luck and enjoy!

Thanks for that - I'm thinking plenty of balloons.
And a crate of fosters for us.

I'm having a MLP party for DD5 in a couple of weeks - pinterest has loads of ideas and free printables if your friend wants to set up a table for colouring in... or just printouts to decorate the hall?

I don't have Pinterest but my friend might! I'll get her to check it out! Thanks Bayeaux T Best of luck with your upcoming party! If you have any particular success with any part of your DD5's party let me know how it goes and I'll pass on your advice to my friend! Thanks again! Smile

Different teams doing Pin Tail On Rainbow Dash. Use crepe paper in different colours and some free printables. Do blindfold if you want or just a relay race.
Pass balloons from knees to knees (pinkie pie).
Hunt the apples - cheap ones - for Apple Jack.
Can't remember the others I did but the internet (especially USA sites) are your friend.

Musical statues, pass the parcel, treasure hunt is a good one. Party bags put in 1 toy, a balloon, piece of cake and a lollipop. No need for more than that.
Keep the food basic, get it all from the value range. Sausage rolls, cheese sandwiches, crisps, biscuits, fairy cakes.
In fact could plain fairy cakes be bought and then MLP decorations put on by the kids? Sprinkles, little jelly sweets, batch of garish icing etc?

Thanks Katienana! That sounds very budget friendly I'll let her know for next time the party was 26th March!
