Party bags come to an end at secondary school, surely?

It's nearly time for DD's 12th birthday sleepover for 8 girls. And party bags must end at some point, but when? 16 year olds don't hand them out, so is it acceptable to not do them?

What does your DD think?

She's undecided, not too bothered either way.

It's perfectly acceptable not to do them but also IME I think they often still like to give their friends a little something after a party although not a "party bag" as such.

In fact when DD went to a friends 15th birthday meal out followed by DVD party at home her friend gave everyone one of those retro jam jar-like drinks cups with a lid and straw. I think they'd bought them to use at the party and everyone could take theirs home as a gift.

Thanks, little gift it is then.

My son is in year 6 and he is having friends over for his birthday today. I've not done party bags.
