Going to do a treasure hunt, parachute games.

Want to avoid games that require music as will hopefully have party in the garden.

Wondering about doing something artsy craftsy??

Races perhaps - silly style eg 3-legged, wheelbarrows, hopping etc

Throwing games - quoits, skittles.

Duck, duck, goose - also known as 'I sent a letter to my love'

Corners - run to a choice of designated 'corners' when the whistle blows, everyone in the randomly allocated corner is out until only one child/a few are left.

Pass the parcel.

Painting pebbles/shells for arts/crafts.

Lots of cheap water pistols and a big bucket of water for refills and plenty of towels!

What's the time mr wolf

Don't eat tommy's smartie (search on here for instructions) - we tend to play with skittles.

Relay races

Egg & spoon - for variation if you can find mini choc eggs (try £ land) then use tea spoons for a more edible outcome - we do as relay, so big bowl at one end and teams to take in turns to run up and collect then balance back.

Had 6 5 year olds over yesterday for small party. Best bit was decorating biscuits.

Packet of value digestives, some tubes of writing icing (from Sains) and some sprinkles. They did want to take them home, so wrapped them in foil.

Good luck.

Our two favourites are freeze tag and bingo. I make bingo cards with clip art in Word to suit the occasion. Personally I think both games are completely lame but every child at every party has said they were the best bits.
