hello
Im in the process of planning my baby girls christening. After the event, we are hiring a room in the nearby football club, which i can decorate and put on a buffet. There will roughly be 30 adults and 12-15 children. This is my last baby so i want it to be perfect Grin

I would be grateful if you could give me ideas of food I could do? It will all have to be made in advance then could be reheated there.
Also, would it be too 'big fat gypsy wedding' to do a theme? Hmm DH thinks im being ridiculous and we should just have the ceremony then go back home for tea and sandwiches but he's a bore

Would love any ideas! x

I think, tbh, that it sounds as if your DH feels a bit alienated.

I understand that you want it to be girly, but I am guessing half the guests won't. You will have plenty of opportunities to do girly parties for her as she grows up. So yes, i really do think that a theme is OTT. The theme is the christening and the welcoming of a new baby into her surroundings of extended family and dear friends, not peppa pig. Sorry. I don't mean to be negative, but this sounds like it is for you, not for your DD and def not for your family.

Re food, are you thinking finger buffet or fork buffet? Do you want the food girly too?
