80s Themed Party - Clothes and Food...Help

Vey close friend is having an 80s themed party.
I am going with a girlfriend so we thought we should do a "double act".
WQe thought about Cagney and Lacy but I would end up being the ugly fat one and then we thought about the two from Dynasty.Beyond that we are struggling.

Any bright ideas?

Also-what would you classify as typically 80s food???

Pineapple, pickled onions and rubbery rotten cheddar on a cocktail stick, all stuck in an orange cut in half Smile.

Has to be Merrydown Cider for drink or Babycham.

Waht about dressing as Fame rejects - i.e. leggings/leg warmers/stripy tops etc ?#

Have a nice time.

Nouvaeu cuisine and overly fussy party food like vol-au-vents with poncy fillings.

One of you could go as Madonna in "Holiday" get up, lacy gloves and lots of jingly necklaces, or you could both go as "Strawberry Switchblade" as there's loads of polka dotted things around at the mo.
