DS (age 7) has had a birthday party invite from a classmate. He can't go as we have other plans that day. So do I still buy the child a present?I definitely would if he was a close friend of DS or if I knew the parents well. But I've never even heard of this boy. I think he invited the entire class.I'm very poor, by the way.
I don't think you need to buy a present if you aren't going to the party.
No need and wouldn't be expected.
I wouldn't if you're not going, especially if you don't know the child.
