DS would probably say more hot dogs :) Any ideas for a bunch of 8 yr olds?

Yum - I loooove hot dogs!

How about corn-on-the-cob, probably cut to half-size, onion rings, potato wedges, dips? Maybe some cherry tomatoes and cucumber chunks (probably wouldn't bother with lettuce though Smile

And birthday cake for pud!

Onions, roasted sliced peppers, sweetcorn relish, buns (obviously), salsa none of which look like vegetables but are relatively healthy for a party Wink

not sure how to make onion rings Blush

Wedges great idea.

Prob won't bother with any sort of salady stuff for eating although it might make the table look nice Grin

Re onion rings you could always (whispers) buy them - but don't say I said so! Smile

May also be worth having some veggie sausages to hand for any non-meat (or just non-pork) eaters.

Agree about not killing yourself to provide variety and that salady stuff may serve only decorative purposes!

Get some cone shaped party hats, tape the seam to secure & remove the elastic, turn upside down and fill with french fries - it goes down a storm with my kids. Curly fries also work well but some kids are fussy. Ketchup squirted over the top and bobs your uncle!

Salad is a stoopid idea, sorry.
