Sending a baby gift to USA

A friends has just had a baby boy in America and I want to send her a gift. I seem to have spent hours on American websites trying to order her something without success - as you need a credit card with an American billing address, and also on British websites who mostly don't seem to deliver to America. Surely there's a simpler way? Please can you advise me on how to do this?

Wouldn't it be easier to get the present delivered to you, then you can post it to her?

Amazon UK deliver to the US, I sent some baby books to my cousin in Florida.

Amazon US will let you buy stuff with a UK credit card. They sell everything you can think of. Also try American sellers in etsy.

Call them. They'll bend over backwards to help you and many have lines open 24 hours a day. Tell them just what you've said here. As long as it's a Visa or MC, they will probably take it.
