Ideas for 7 year old party games please?

dd2 is having her 7th birthday party on Friday - smallish house, nine children altogether aged between 7 and 10. Tend to do traditional party games (pin the tail on the donkey/whatever, musical bumps etc), but want to include a few different ones.

Got any ideas? They are slightly jaded party goers but still enjoy trad-style games.

Do you do the chocolate game? All sit round in a circle and shake a dice. Whoever gets a 6 has to dress up in apron, hat, scarf and gloves and using a knife and fork attack a bar of chocolate (large one of dairy milk works well)which has been wrapped in a few sheets of newspaper. If someone else gets a 6 they have to swap over. Sit the kids in a circle with choc on a table in the middle and you go round with the dice on a tray.

Flour game. Put flour on a tray and form into a square block, stick a matchstick in the middle. Kids have to take it in turns to cut some of flour away without matchstick falling. If matchstick falls that child has to pick match out of flour with her teeth!

We used to Fish for Children (did it as adults, too ). You tie a donut onto a longish string, tie the other end to a stick and dangle it above the children. You can have more than one fishing rod going at a time. The children have to catch it with their teeth. Depending on their age/physical abilities, you have them clasp their hands behind their backs, or blindfold them. A little messy, but hysterical.

Passing oranges under the chin.

Fancy dress relay races.

Can't wait for my two to be old enough for these!

Key game (blind pirate?)

Sorting tiny M&M's into separate colours with a spoon held in mouth, or sorting M&M's using straw in mouth.

We just did a Halloween party which included icing bought gingerbread men/shapes - you just buy the tubes of icing and the gingerbread; there are some good shiny Barbie icing tubes in the supermarkets which look excellent (ie the icing is shiny). Takes them ages. We also had a home-made pinata, but again you can buy them from Asda, Tesco, etc.

Great ideas! Milliways (or anyone) - can you explain how to play piggy game? Do you blindfold someone, get them to point at a person, say squeak piggy squeak, then they have to guess who it is?

And the m&m one - do you do that as a race between two people?

And what is the pirate one? Can't guess that!

Squeek Piggy Squeek:
Blindfold someone. Another person sits on their lap. Blindfolded person asks "Squeek Piggy Squeek". Child on lap squeeks (much laughter). Blindfolded has to guess who it is. If they guess, person on lap is blindfolded.

M&M's:
Have played as team games (2 teams) with everyone huddled round small bowls, but if you get enough & can find enough bowls/saucers can have everyone at once - need about 6 dishes each, 1 for each colour. Using teaspoons is mouths is great for all ages.

Blind pirate (or Key game)
"Pirate" is blindfolded and sat on chair. Keys or "treasure" under chair. Another child (one at time) has to creep up, grab treasure & return to other end of room without being detected. The pirate can point "Ahoy there", gets 3 points, and if points at thief he wins. If thief gets trwasure he beomes pirate.

I`ve got 8, eight yr olds coming to a party on Sunday. Do you think the pile of flour and matchstick game will work for them? If so, do I just dump the flour in a pile or is their a way to form it into a block (as you put it BOZZA)? Also how much flour do they take/cut away?
