Does family mediation exist outside of divorce and separation and has anyone used it?

I've been non contact with my mother for years and whenever contact resumes we repeat the patterns of behaviour that result in going non contact again.

I'm keen to explore a different way.

Or work in yourself via The Hoffman Process or similar
