My kids to meet my partners kids for first time

My partner and I are getting married very soon and although we have been together for 3 years, our kids have never met the reason being that my daughters age 24 and 19 are never around much. My fiance has two daughters also and they are age 18 and 13 who live with their mother half a hours drive away. It's just never really happened due to circumstances and his eldest being very shy and she suffers with anxiety. Now the meeting has been arranged in a restaurant but I confess I'm nervous because I'm worried about awkward silences. Has anyone else had this type of situation and what advice do you have?

I'd suggest meeting to do an activity, rather than having to find conversation around a restaurant table.
Doing an activity will give you something to talk about

I think an activity would be better than a meal. Bowling perhaps? A bit of bonding over parents vs kids might work. Then a meal afterwards, once the ice has been broken.

Yes, you need to be doing something first and then go for an informal bite to eat.

Walk and pub lunch?
Any art festivals on near you?
