The Step daughter recently got a job as a carer and told us she was offered flexibility re her hours around child care. 2nd week into the job and she’s been told to work two 17hour shifts back to back this Saturday and Sunday. We can look after the grandkid Saturday but not Sunday. She’s told them she can’t find alternative care at short notice and she’s been disciplined. Her contract says she’s to work 10+ hours. Anyone had any experience of working those hours and what it actually means?
