ZackyVengeance Sat 01-Apr-17 16:06:09

ZackyVengeance Sat 01-Apr-17 16:07:37

Are we supposed to talk about them?
Gosh, well mine are boring apart from ds wants to leave his job to be self employed
And dd is disabled so i am looking at the joy that is adult social care

PortiaCastis Sat 01-Apr-17 16:08:00

I have only 1 who is 18

PortiaCastis Sat 01-Apr-17 16:10:15

Mine is canoodling her bf in fact I fear she may devour him. Obviously he is far more important than revising for exams

DramaAlpaca Sat 01-Apr-17 16:14:25

Mine are all boys, 23, 22 & 19, and all living at home. I fear I have spoiled them terribly grin

BackforGood Sat 01-Apr-17 16:15:29

TondelayaDellaVentamiglia Sat 01-Apr-17 16:23:03

I have three, two are in the process of joining the Forces, one will be doing nursing.

boy, girl, boy..and hopefully girl child will see sense and take the top floor of the house as a "bedsit" while she studies

and dh and I can cavort about the world while she studies and keeps the house safe ( ish )

LapdanceShoeshine Sat 01-Apr-17 16:23:56

My first baby turns 35 today shock The others are nearly 32, 28 & nearly 24. GGBB. Teacher, social worker, financial adviser & student.

The youngest is the hardest work ;of course) but they've all had their moments.

No grandchildren on (or even over) the horizon.

OhWhatFuckeryIsThisNow Sat 01-Apr-17 16:31:55

4 here too. Youngest dd at uni at same city as her db lives. The oldest (as, anxiety, depression) and my other ds are still at home, smoking too much dope and being lazy arsed gits.

fruitbats Sat 01-Apr-17 16:34:50

Mine is 35. He works in customer services. I foolishly believed that when he reached 18 the hard work would be over. grin There have been different challenges as he has got older. I have 2 DGD's.

WandaOver Sat 01-Apr-17 16:37:17

I wonder why there is a new topic - did someone ask for it?
How many of us are
<whispers>
MILs?

abbey44 Sat 01-Apr-17 16:52:21

I've got two boys aged 21 and 24. Both living & working away - one in London and one in Sierra Leone - so I don't see them nearly often enough. I've got two dogs to keep me company, but it's not quite the same grin

ZackyVengeance Sat 01-Apr-17 17:15:47

I wonder why as well but
I am hopeful this will be somewhere i can get advice and support from when dd moves on from college, even though she will be going onto adult residential care as apposed to leaving home.
Hopefully you lot will be able to make me not cry

MadameCholetsDirtySecret Sat 01-Apr-17 17:18:43

I have one DS who is 25. He is currently in Lisbon on holiday with friends. Lucky bugger.

AstrantiaMajor Sat 01-Apr-17 17:27:58

I wonder which of us on MN has the oldest adult offspring.

StickyWick Sat 01-Apr-17 17:28:41

My four are all at Uni, (BBGG) two are graduating this summer. They are all happy and it's bloody lovely not to have things to worry about. I'm sure there will be in future but for now everything is sweet and I going to enjoy it while it lasts.

I love having 'kids' this age. I find them interesting and good company. I like the fact that they still like the occasional bit of 'mothering' but are responsible for themselves. It's like I mostly get the fun bits without the hassle - sometimes when they were very little I felt I got all the hassle and none of the fun 😂.

There is so much doom and despondency in the news these days that it's easy to forget that the world can still be an exciting place for some young people.

insancerre Sat 01-Apr-17 17:41:49
