My DS has always been a good sleeper, but now at 9 months has started to wake about 5.30 and sits up in his cot. After a time he starts to cry/ moan because he cant manage to lie himself down again. I have to get up and go in to him and lie him down. He always goes back to sleep but I could do without the early wake-up call...and its gradually getting earlier and earlier.
Does anyone have any tips on teaching how to roll over from front to back (he can only do back to front!)Please help me if you can...!

He has worked out what I always think is the harder way to roll - from back to front, so it is only a matter of time before he works it out the other way. I am not sure there is much you can do to help. I hate to say it, but early wake up calls have been pretty much par for the course as far as my children are concerned, but what I did find was that it got later as the darker mornings drew in, so perhaps your ds will sleep a bit longer too come September/October...

Thanks for your advice Lonleymum .....I have a blackout blind up so its not too light in there - maybe its just a phase. I thought he might be hungry but he's not desperate for food when I eventually get him up about 7am.
