How many children do you have and are you happy with that number?

Just wondering whether people out there are happy with their 1, 2, 3, 4 or more children.

What are the best and worst things about the number you have, and would you do it all the same again?

I have 3 and I am very happy with that number.

Sometimes I think about having a 4th, but I'm 99% convinced that 3 is right for us.

I have 4. I would have liked 6 but I left it too late and really wouldn't have been able to cope with more probably. But I love reading about families with more children than I have.

i have 2
we would like a 3rd but want to be able to afford stuff - holidays, private secondary school (if needed at the time) etc... plus i also feel the way the world is going we need to be able to help them out when they are starting adult life.

so... sticking at 2

but you never know "life is what happens when you're busy making plans"

I have 2 and its great, much nicer than having 1 (imo). I'd love to have 3 but its not going to happen, unfortunately

I have 1 and would love another but sadly dh doesn't feel the same.

I have 2 . I love that is getting pretty easy and seeing the dds play together, I would love another though, although finance and dh say otherwise- so likely to stop at two. I feel utterly blessed

I have 6 and want another, really do, don't think it's going to happen though, no money

I have 2. I don't intend to have any more, partly because DH and I always agreed on 2, partly because I found pregnancy very difficult second time round and find babies very difficult and partly because DH is not very well and I don't want to have to cope with 3 children on my own (although we're far from that stage atm). 2 feels more manageable.

I have 2 and definitely don't want more. Happy with 2.

I have 2, 1 of each as planned! Definately wouldn't want or couldn't cope with any more.

I have 2 with 1 on the way. Would like to have 4 but going to see how we get on with 3 first.

Two, and yes I am, which surprises me. I really thought I would want another, but I just never got the urge again.

I have 2 living children (DS2 stillborn and DC4 late m/c) and I have finally come to terms with only having 2 and love it now. I can't imagine having anymore.

Have 2 and am very happy with that. Couldn't bear to go through the baby stage again.
Dh would love another but I really don't wAnt to.

Future school fees and a desire to do lots of foreign travel are factors too.

I want more but only one more. I like big families especially when I become a grandma. I think "Brothers and Sisters" has a lot to answer for

I have 3, although I got 2 for the price of 1 on my second pregnancy

The DT's are only 4 months, but I'm loving having 3. It's harder logistically I imagine than 2 (we are outnumbered!), but really looking forward to the years ahead. But then they are currently easy babies... so who knows?!

We would have stopped at 2 though... but mostly due to finance and also my health and difficulties with pregnancy.

I had 1 for a very long time (9 years) and then was very fortunate to have another. Now I would love to make it 3dc but if it's going to take another 9 years I think I need to embrace what I have rather than think about more.

One. Always wanted more but am single ATM and like the relationship me and DS have, it feels extra special since it's just the two of us if it makes sense (and he is hard enough, the thought of having more to look after on my own is scary!)

I am definitely happy for the moment but open to the possibility of more children in the future if I'm ever in a position to have them, I think I would be much more cautious to make sure I was in a very stable relationship as well.

I have one; 8y DD.

Am I happy with the number? Hmm, ther;s a question. Yes and No.

yes - I adore my DD. I am very lucky to have my DD. We make a great family trio and have an amazing time.

no - I would have loved a second child and a sibling for my DD, but have been TTC for over 5.5 years now. I have had two ops, heavy duty homone treatment, Clomid but one have worked. It is more and more unlikely, but at the moment I am not yet ready to call it quits.
