What kind of things does she enjoy doing??

Arty crafty things?? making cards, scrapbooking, watercolours, fabric paints for tee-shirts etc

Cooking - baking cakes, making dinner etc

Music - recording herself singing, kareoke, etc

Writing, make a book, write some poems, etc

Maths, suduko, maths sheets, etc

Computer games, internet treasure hunts and so on!

My DS 8yrs is going to National Trusts kids club next week. Costs £5 for a year with only a few activities costing a little extra. 2hrs in morning and 1 in afternoon 2 full weeks throughout summer. DD and I wander aorund grounds or go to local village while hes there and then take picnic lunch in.
The Countryside Rangers do activities at mamy locations.

Drama club/ workshops.

Mosschops30- I am (was until she went to her dads for 3 weeks [sad) in the same boat as you, dd is 8 and ds 14months.... (not walking yet though).

I just ask her what she fancied doing and most of the time she wanted to play with her friends (in and out all the time too hot to stay out for long periods)... or go swimming,

The thing I find hard is even going to the pools with DD not alot of shade for DS to sit in so we can't stay long as he gets irratable in the heat... have just ordered a shade a babe cover so hopefully this meant will be able to stay out longer with her when she gets back.

my ds has gone to a drama workshop for the week
Its hard with mixed ages mine are 14,12,almost 11 2.5 and 10 months!
We go to Harewood alot which has an adventure playground suitable for both and a bird garden which ds3 loves!
