Star Chart 101 - Complete beginner here.

I'm looking to coerce dd1 into eating more foods.

How does one do star charts? She's 4.8 btw.

I really have no clue so any advice is welcome.

how about teaching her about all the food groups and what they all do for the body etc. by perhaps drawing a big circle on a huge piece of paper and splitting it up into sections. then together cut up any pictures of food you can find from mags and catalogues etc, and stick them on the correct section. she'll enjoy this. then whenever you introduce a new food, find it on the circle and talk about why its healthy etc.. i think this is better than the bribery reward chart.

Ditch the star chart and make her eat her dinner up.

If she refuses bring it back at next meal time.
