Do you like playing with your kids toys? I am loving DS's new one!

I am a bit to admit this but I have just set up DS1's 2nd birthday present for the morning (so I don't have to faff about untying about 100 packaging wires), and I have sat on my own playing with it and I think it's fab!

It's a cash register from ELC and I love it- I always wanted one as a child but never got one so I think I'm fulfilling my childhood dreams I have filled the till with coins, filled the shopping basket with plastic food and I sat scanning the items, totting up the till and paid with my 'credit card'- 'tis magic!

Can't wait til the morning when DS will probably ignore it play along with me

Love it! You need to tune in, now, to BBC2 for James May's Toy Story!

Ooh, I the dcs' have one of those. I love the scanner and the 'ting' when the till opens!

The only thing tht compares is the library dcs which has gone self-scanning - wooo

now you see it is my most hated toy in the house - I am forever relocating coins from the bathroom/dining room/bedroom/our bedroom/stairs back in to it, and the cartons of juice etc have got all squashed and make instant mess... I think I have ishoos over the till

Long may your happiness last

Yeah I know Plumbum it's like a real till and everything! When you 'scan' items it also adds the price, a can of tuna was £10 LOL.

Weegle- day 2 of the cash register and I am already feeling your pain. I have had to unscrew the pin machine several times to retrieve 20 coins that were jammed in, only to turn my back and they are frickin back in it!

And the cartons of juice and ice lollies are well and truly squashed.

I still like it though!

This afternoon I actually shoosed my DS, almost 2, so I could what Chris and Poi were saying on Show Me Show Me! I love this show, and make my DS let mummy choose what to watch sometimes as he prefers Postman Pat. Also he had new garage and cars from ELC for his birthday last week and I can honestly say that myself and my DH seem to be enjoying it more than my DS. I especially love the nneeeeeaaaammmmm sound the garage makes when a car whizzes down!!
