DS is 10 and we send him up to his room at 8.30pm - he is then allowed to read/computer/music etc quietly until 9.30pm.

He thinks this is "tight" and he should be allowed up later. Are we "tight"?

DD goes up sometime between 7.30 and 8 Tues, Wed, Thurs and lights out at 8.15. She is out at clubs on Mon and Fri till 8.30, and goes to bed when she gets in. Her alarm goes at 7.15am.

So he would be doing pretty well by our standards!

DS1 (10) goes up at 8:30 and has 30 mins reading time. Actually, he can read as long as he likes so long as he's quiet.

I've got 11yo and 9yo girls who are supposed to go to bed at 8.30pm, lights out 9pm. They do some clubs though (Brownies, Guides, Swimming) that mean they get back home late and ususally overexcited so go to bed a bit later those nights.
