possibly stupid question about sleeping through the night

dd2 is 3 months and sleeps 6.30 until 6.30 when I wake her up (well unless dd1 wakes her up before that shouting "my little sisters my best friend!" in to the moses basket)

someone told me today that this is too long and sleeping that deeply is unnatural at that age and increases the risk of cot death.

I dont have to poke her every couple of hours do I?

No, don't poke her just check on her every now and then. I still check on DS at 19mths if he sleeps through (rarely).

Enjoy the good night's sleep too

this is why I love mumsnet you can ask really silly questions and get some good advice without feeling too stupid!

Finally someone has a baby who sleeps through the night and they're still expected to worry!

You're probably just lucky, but you could run it past the helpline here to put your mind at rest.
