DD(3) has just walked into the kitchen with her arms out for a cuddle.

Conversation went like this:

Me: Hello darling. (picks her up) I love you so much.

DD: Are we never going to die?

Me: Um...not until we're really old. Don't worry about that for a very long time.

DD: Can I have cheese on my pasta?

Me:

DD then wriggles to get down and trots off back to her Barbies. I am left and a bit .

Good grief, I can't keep up.

DD has been bringing up death at random moments for the past year (just turned 4). When will we die, who will die first and on and on. It's so out of the blue sometimes and then she's back to teddy and panda.....

One bedtime she started a serious death conversation and then she thought a bit more and asked very seriously - mummy, why are cats furry?

He he

It was the fact she hardly drew breath between the 2 questions - I can't move on so quickly!
