my boys are playing outside, just been out to tell them their tea is ready and they are eating an ice lolly given to them by mil who lives next door.
ds2 is a terrible eater anyway and thats all it takes for him to eat nothing of his tea.
the other day the same thing happened when a neighbour gave them chocolate.
grrrr is it just me or would you be mad too. they aren't babies they are 6 and 9 but still..

bit naughty imo - especially at this time of day - surely people would know it is nearly tea time and not to offer such things.... and i would be more upset if someone related did it. Just my opinion though.

Have you actually said to mil NOT to do it.
Sometimes people just DON'T THINK! unless you spell it out in balck and white - or jokingly - depending on the person - they might just not get it! nO point in getting all hot and bothered if they don't know you get all hot and bothered. But if they do know then you have evey right to be pissed off. But on the other hand - life's too short! give them a vitamin pill and a glass of milk and hope for a better day tomoro.

I'd be cross. Are you able to talk to MIL about it?
