I have a 3 week old that doesn't seem to want to sleep, wants to be held the whole time, which is difficult when i have a 2 year old as well.
He doesn't sleep hardly at all in the day and even after fed wont settle. It isn't wind and he isn't hungry as doesn't finish his bottles. Please give me some advice, am at the end of my tether and feeling like I am going to crack up!
Thanks x

Will he sleep if you walk around wiht him in a sling ? This is my sure fire way of getting my 11 week old off since she was born. People may say it creates bad habits - but when you have another one ( mine is 2.10) you go with what works. Do he sleep at night - I have to admit to co-sleeping to maximise my sleep.

find a way to carry him with you so he will sleep and then co sleep aswell

kick your dh into the sofa if your 2 ear old is still in your bed

relax and slow downm do whatever it takes to feel calm and help your baby settle

Some babies are just like this and unfortunately the easiest thing is to give in to it. A comfy sling is a really good idea. My dd2 was carried around in a sling or slept on my lap in the day for the first three months. At night she slept in bed with me. Now she is a year old she sleeps on her own in her own bed and is a happy and quite independant little girl so I really don't think it creates bad habits.
