What time is bed time for your little ones, how old are they and generally how long does it take them to fall asleep?

My DD is 13 months old. Bed time is 7pm, generally she falls asleep within minutes. Wakes up any time from 6 to 7am (generally 6.30am in Spring/Summer).

The dd's go between 6.30pm and 7.30pm. As early as i can get them down. I have my 1st mindee arriving at 7am so they are woken up every morning by them knocking/ringing. They are nearly 3 and nearly 5.

The ds's however ds2 was around midnight (he's 13.6) and ds1 went to see his friend round the road and i heard him coming in at 3.45am (he's 18 in September)

I of course made sure that all the dc were as loud as possible this morning

Dd is 2.10 and hers is 7.30, she sleeps then until 7 in the morning but does not nap during the day.

Ds is 6 and I TRY to get him to bed for 9 to be up at 7.30 am but it is rare for him to go to sleep before 10.00 pm or later. I know this is late but he has HFA and doesn't seem to need as much sleep as other kids his age.

Today?

As early as I can get away with.

Usually, they're all in bed by 6.45pm. DS1 (4) & DS2 (3) have stories in bed until 7pm and are usually zonked out by 7.15pm.

DD (5.10) has a story and a chat at 7ish until about 7.30, and is usually asleep by 8.15 (she will potter about her room a bit, read, draw etc.)

ds is 3 and goes to bed at 645-7, and generally takes about 20 minutes of chatting to his monkey and rabbit to go to sleep

ds2 is 16m and is in bed between 630 and 645 and takes a good 40 minutes of chat to go to sleep!

they both sleep through (on a good night with no teething or noisy neighbours!) till 630-7am

Well, tonight is is 5.15pm for my 4 year old as he is poorly.

Normally, all in bed at 7 for 5 and 8 year olds but they can read for a bit. Can take minutes to fall asleep or longer some mights.

Mr 4 year old goes 6.50-7pm and can be straight to sleep or still be walking about 30 minutes later depending on his mood.

Whenever they are tired, we don't have a set time.

Usually about 7.30pm but there's some days they don't go down until 9pm.

Since they only go when they are actually sleepy it only takes a few minutes before they drop off. I can tuck them in then bugger off straight away, bliss.

Ds1 3.2
Ds2 17mo

Both in bed by 6.45/7 wake up anywhere between 5.30 and 6.30. Have just had too freaky days when they woke at 7am.

But if ds1 falls asleep in the day (which he does if he's had a particulalrly busy morning) then he'll be awake until 9 or 10 at night.

as early as humanly possible
7ish for the 3 year old and 8ish for the 6 year old. Earlier if they show the slightest hint of being overtired!

ds is 22 months, he's usually in bed somewhere between 7 and 7.30 and I think it takes about 10-15 mins for him to fall asleep. He usually wakes up at about 6.30 and chatters to himself until I get him up at 7.

DS, 8, starts bedtime routine about 7.15 has bath, supper, extended story time and lies down about 8.30. Its very hard to wake him at 8.00 a.m.

On a weekend his bedtime is around 9.30 and he gets up about 7.00.

DS is 3, during the week he is in bed between 7.30 - 8.00 and at the weekend around 8.00 - 8.30pm. He used to love lie ins but now we can hear his door opening from about 6 onwards, but don't let him get up until 7.00am

gal, they do tend to hang about downstairs because often they are watching big brother or ugly betty. I know, I know, I'm not proud.

If they're not watching telly they go to their room earlier and read and muck about and talk to each other.

It's odd having them up so late. They used to be so small.
