Just reading the other thread about whether or not we are all too soft on our children, got me thinking.
My DS is being evaluated for SN (tomorrow, actually! am nervous!) He certainly has something "wrong" or different about him that is not in question but over the last year we have had to constantly re-examine him and ourselves to try to differentiate between SN (of the ASD type) and good old fashioned terrible twos and sometimes naughty behaviour.
He is extremely bossy, and also very very kind and loving. I adore him but he can be a tyrant. Some of this I know is down to his inability to cope with some things, but I am always worrying it is also my fault.
So what do YOU see in a child that flags up "no positive discipline happening there!"
