Having read a thread on here about a mum who was furious with other mums for not vaccinating it struck me as to why this should be.
As MMR for example is made from a immortal cell line using an made from cloned aborted fetus cells and calf bovine fetal cells many refuse MMR due to the unethical ingredients such as this.
AS long as MMR contains this filth you must accept it cannot be made compuslsory under human rights.
Parents who have done their research also know that these cell lines have become contaminated over the years.
It seems some of you insist we do not think for ourselves and must forcibly inject our children with products from abortion and other toxins in order to quench your own fears.
It is highly unethical to ask person a to take a risk from a vaccine in order to protect person b and i will have nothing to do with with such amoral opinions.

How many of you who call for us to jab our children in order to "protect" yours have even researched the ingredients and know MMR is mad from abortion.
Until vaccines are greened up and made ethical i call for all parants to make their own choices and leave others to make theirs.

Young mothers just do not have the experience and knowledge and do not remember how we all taken to measles parties in the 1960s.

I have been asking for proof that the lifelong risk including long term damage of MMR (long term side effects include skweing the immune sytstem away from THI immunity to TH2 immunity causing epedimics of auto immune disease for example) and Doctors and Scientists have been unable to prove how the vaccine is safer than the disease over a life time risk.
AS MMR cannot withsatand close scientific scrutiny the whole message has been reframed into one of bullying, emotional blackmail scaremongering and guilt which is not Science but clever corporate marketing.

Put this in Vaccinations, OP.

In many countries (eg the USA), children who are not vaccinated are refused admission into state schools. I really hope they will introduce that here. Sure, make whatever misinformed choice you want, but not at the expense of other people's children.

Please, take up your issue on the thread in question, yes?

No need to start a fresh ruck

Am I the only one who, on reading the words "Immortal cell line" started thinking of The Highlander?

There Can Be Only One!

That's pretty much the best response I can give to such blatant woo merchantry.

Yes, I know that some parents have definite reasons for not vaccinating their children, but that's not what the OP was on about.

Strange OP - so are you saying that those of us who have had our children vaccinated do so without thought because we can't think for ourselves?

And no we weren't taken to measles parties in the 60's - my mother was aware that this is not a nice disease to catch and can potentially have very serious or fatal side effects.

Too many unsubstantiated claims and sweeping generalisations OP.

Oh Jesus.

This is NOT the way to start a war thread.

I love it when people who make one choice assume that people who make another choice do it because they are stupid/sheep/un-informed. Oh I see the op feels the same way...

Great, we can all get on with our lives then can't we?

Op, stop being s self involved fool.

"Having read a thread on here about a mum who was furious with other mums for not vaccinating it struck me as to why this should be"

errr nope, you have not understood why, I don't think.

And here in Spain you have to show your vac certificates every year at school enrollment and while they won't legally MAKE you vaccinate, you will get a VERY hard time if you haven't and will most likely be unable to re-enroll depending on the school's policy. They also have nit nurses and hardly any nits. Works for me.

I made my choice to vaccinate, i looked into it , researched it and made my choice for my children.

your whole point is one of 'bullying, emotional blackmail scaremongering and guilt'

you can't seriously expect people to read an OP like that , with no supporting research or links and decide not to vaccinate.

I think one of the differences between here and say, the example of the US where you can cite reasons for your exemption, is that here no-one will even enter a discussion about it. You turn up at school with no vac certs, and you just get a shrug of the shoulders and they refuse to educate your child. The ball is left firmly in the court of the parents. You don't HAVE to vaccinate but there's no school if you don't.
And doctors simply don't understand the "no vacs, thank you" argument. I asked about the risks of the MMR and they were unused to being asked the question (spanish doctors are used to being revered and obeyed). Same as my gynaecologist was genuinely confused as to why I might not want an epidural "like everyone else does". Does not compute.

"cloned aborted fetus cells and calf bovine fetal cells"

Please could you state your sources for the ingredients of MMR vaccine.

This thread smells of bovine manure to me.

'MMR is mad from abortion.'

'Nuff said.

Cloned aborted fetal cells?

That's a new one on me - I thought it was cultured on chick cells, hence the need for caution when a child has had an anaphylactic reaction to eggs.

Oh well. What do I know, I'm just a sheep.

Baaaaa.

People tend on the whole to make the best researched, best informed decisions that they can for their child.
I think lecturing anyone about those decisions WHATEVER THAT DECISION IS, is wrong and inappropriate.
I wish we would get off each others backs about this stuff. It isn't about choosing shoes for goodness sake. These are important difficult decisions which many of us struggle with.

hester · 30/05/2009 21:13

Um. Ok. I have my own views on vaccination (in favour) but I see no reason to get all hot-eyed and preachy about it - much prefer reasonable discussion with other parents.

OP - You say that you are angry because parents who do vaccine disagree with your decision not too, but aren't you doing the same but the other way around.

You do what you want and others will make their own mind up. Its nobody's business but my own whether I vaccinate or not.

Try reading this page - it explains it very clearly IMO.

As does this bit of the article....

A recent report from the Pontifical Academy for Life at the Vatican encourages pharmaceutical companies to seek alternatives to the development of vaccines linked with human fetuses, given the Catholic Church?s objections to cooperating with abortion. (11) The report also points out that in the absence of an alternative, these vaccines may be utilized ?to avoid a serious risk not only for one?s own children but also, and more specifically, for the health conditions of the population as a whole ? especially for pregnant women.? The Vatican Academy also noted that "the parents who did not accept the vaccination of their own children become responsible for the malformations [due to rubella infection] in question."

And - no - in the 1960s measles parties were not the norm. In 1961 152 people died of measles - not all parents would put their child at this level of risk.

I agree with unicornvomit ( never thought I would write that). I made my choice through research and other parents views.
