Fingers crossed she has a good night's sleep
Can't believe I won't have a child in a cot anymore

oooooh exciting!

Has the age for getting out of the cot gone up without me realising it? Both the DDs were out of the cot by 18mnths, and yet 2 threads ive come across today have been 2-3yrs plus!

Hope she sleeps well for you!

Oooh, good luck Compo.
Ds is also 2.6 and every weekend, we mean to change the cot into a bed adn forget!
He did sleep in a big boy bed a few weeks ago when we were at Granny's and he loved it. I don't think he realised he could actually get up and still shouted for us to get up!

JARM - well we moved ds at 2 because of the immenient arrival of dd but with dd everyone said wait until she can climb out but she's never even tried
she usually sleeps in a grobag too so it must be a bit of a shock suddenly not being cocooned
with ds he went through about 3 nights and keep getting up and we did the whole no eye contact thing and putting him back
hoping not to have to do that again!

Nicky - yes, we've been putting it off too, last night she kept rolling over and banging the sides of the cot so dh decided she was too big for it!

ooh thanks low, that is very reassuring
dh is nagging me because because she still has a bottle which she loves at nighttime before bed and we haven't potty trained her and he thinks I'm babying her

We haven't potty trained yet. We are waiting until the better weather. I am not having toddler pee all over my carpet when we are selling our house!
As for the bottle, if it's only a cosy one at bedtime and she brushes her teeth, then so what?
Sometimes people are in such a rush to make them grow up. She won't be in noppies or using bottles much longer, so enjoy.
