Ds (7) drew over someones t shirt at school today and when he was spoken to about it he told them that he didn't want to come home because his Daddy was going to smack him with a slipper or belt.
Dh says that he threatens him with it to get him to behave. I Have told him that he can't do it but dh doesn't listen.
The head of the school has told me she has now reported to child protection. I completely understand this has to be followed but can anyone tell me what will happen next?

They will do a home visit and hopefully your DH will be ordered to take some parenting classes.

Be completely honest with them and tell them why your ds has said this, hopefully it will at least kick your dh in to touch.

Thanks,
It might actually make dh actually listen to me too.
I can't believe it is happening and I feel sick

Just be completely honest and make sure if and when they do visit that DH is there. He has been the one to cause this, he should be there to answer any questions.
