Mine does. All the time. And at them, as in 'F- off you little b---d.' Really starting to get to me.

Don't blame you, out of order IMO

No my DH doesn't

I agree with Cod, you need to tell him that it's not appropriate behaviour for a father (or any adult tbh)

Totally unacceptable imo. Sorry, but I just can't understand how people can talk to their children like that.

mine might drop the odd b---dy hell, but he never swears at them, and it is normally when he is trying to fix something

Dh does swear infront of dd but I do as well. We never swear at her. The other day we were saying how we should stop it because shes 17 months now and will start to pick it up.

No, if my DH swore more than "bloody hell" in front of my kids I'd go mad at him.

Spohy, I think that is awful of your dh

We don't swear at ours, I have occasionaly sworn, 'Bloody hell' in front of them, but not at them. When this has happened I have explained that I was in the wrong

My BIL's girlfriend said her sister used to use the word Parrott for some reason instead of swearing and I have to say it does work.

I hope people don't get the wrong impression of me now. I don't swear all the time. Honest.

Sophy I assume you ask him not to? Does he have anger problems? I wouldn't tolerate this at all, it is really abusive language.

Last week most days we have followed down the round a young lad (about 20) picking two young children up from our school; he's swearing at them all the way home. It really is heartbreaking, and I find it pretty offensive for myself and my children to overhear, let alone to imagine what that sort of attitude does to the poor children.

I do know the children, but I don't know if he's the dad of either of them or not.

I have certainly sworn in front of ds - but I would never direct language like that at him. Have to agree with Cod - not sure I could love a man who spoke to his children like that. i know that sounds judgemental, but I just hate the idea.
