DD 12 has a good friend at school who is a boy and in the year above so is 13..... I have asked her if he is a "boyfrind" and she says no and is open and happy to talk about him....I know its wrong but the relationship "bothers" me....does anyone have experience of this or dealt with it.....Do you make "rules" about how its ok for you to be in your bedroom with friends who are girls but not boys....he lives quite a distance away so she would like him to sleep over sometime but again - it "bothers" me....am I being stupid

Why can't girls and boys be mates? My best friends at school were all boys. My best friend now is a bloke too

I don't think you're being stupid and can understand your concerns. I would think that if he was a boyfriend she wouldn't be so open about him however I suppose as they get older feelings could change.

Perhaps he could stay over in the spare room or on the sofa, wouldn't have to be in her room. In the meantime I wouldn't worry too much.
