advice on pushchair for VERY tall toddler

Probably posting on the wrong board here, but nonetheless --

Does anyone have advice on the best pushcair for an extremely tall toddler? My son is 2, but the height of a 3-4 year old, and is already cramped in his Bugaboo.

Looking for a single or double buggy (newborn daughter!) that'll fit him! Any advice much appreciated.

We bought a mountainbuggy with the extension option. Not cheap but it was great for our tall DS. We did loads of walks on uneven terrain which was no problem. Not so good in town though. And I think the double buggy is quite wide and doesn't for through most front doors!

i was going to say mountain buggy too.
we have the double terrain and it's fantastic. really light even with 2 in, and you can get the carrycot for baby, which is nice.
my big 3.5 yr old easily fits in it still.

not had any trouble getting it through doorways, thought it was one of the slimmer doubles around tbh

Have the same problem here. My just two year old is 98cms. I took hood fabric off the bugaboo and just left the connectors for the rain cover. Have my two month old in baby carrier.

Looked at Out and About double but knew ds would not like it as felt the seat is quite reclined and he likes to sit up straight He was comfortable in PhIL AND Ted but I didnt like it.

Thanks so much -- this is really helpful.

Dutchmam -- does the Terrain XL Lite have a swivel wheel, or is it rigid? I live in central London, so need something easy to manoevre.

I would say most things would be better than your Bugaboo which are very small, IMO a 1 year old looks big in those things. Not a quinny Zapp though, they are also small

We have just bought a phil and teds for new baby and 2 (just) year old. He is very tall - 99th percentile and is more than happy in it - loads of room although cant have the sear reclined as it reclines under a metal bar and his head would rest on it. However I cant remember the last time he slept in a buggy and really the seat in the upright position would be fine to have a nap in if he was tired.

He loves the buggy and keeps climbing in the thing when its in the house and demanding to go out lol!

xx
