the brats dont leave me alone for a minute. and they seem to think the only way to communicate is to either whine, scream, or fight.
and dont anyone try to make me feel better.
why cant they be as self sufficent as other kids. i dont have to stand at the door and watch the brat wee do i ? and what is so wrong with trying to change the little madames nappy when it is dirty? and this morning i have comitted the unforgivable sin of making them chocolate pancakes for breakfast. what a bad mummy i am.
all offers of adoption will be taken. first come first get!

Stitch, I remember when dd1 was at nursery (she started at 2) The pattern went like this:

Collect from nursery a v. tired child who would refuse to sleep but needed to.
Drove round and round and round Oxford to get her to sleep.
Got home, lay her on the sofa to sleep.
Woke up in a foul mood, and always at this point pooed.
Created merry hell and cried for about an hour while I tried to get her nappy off.

It does get better, I promise, but I know where you're coming from. I look back on that era (and this pattern went on for about a year) and it (or rather that particular scenario) was absolute hell. It was just the inevitability of it - every day was the blinking same. But it does get better - hang on in there love XXX

LOL Stitch. You know what? You are a perfectly normal well adjusted human. And that is the important bit..you're only human after all. I live in a sprawling house and there is a certain whining pitch my DS2 uses when he shouts "MUUUUUUM" ussually from the total other side of the house. I am going to have to start a swear box for the number of times I mutter fuck off under my breath. God-that sounds awful doesn't it!! But I am always very happy to see threads like this coz it makes me realise I'm not so bad! Hang on in there yummy mummy XXX

Its a very stressful job, kids! I have never felt as tired as I do now, even when I worked 10 hours shifts! I have the fighting, whining and the fighting too, also I get screamed at to "GET UP" at 6am by DD1 and DS. It a nightmare..... is there somewhere I can take the "broken" ones too and get them replaced with nice brats!!

i got woken up at 6am, but dd2 throwing her cup at my head, i muttered a few choice swear words under my breath, out the tv on in her room, gave her juice and went back to bed. oh i am a bad mummy.

lol
thanks you guys. i needed that. have realised that i was the one throwing the tantrum! actually am still in it sort of as locked myself in the study whilst kids are downstairs with ds1 playing playstation, he is seven and a half, and the other two watching him, or making a mess, or killing each other, frankly i dont care...
oh, the joys of motherhood.

Stitch-since Santa very kindly delivered a PS2 I find myself thanking the God that is Sony on a frequent basis. Though having banned it on school nights I think I may have shot myself in the foot a little.
But anyway-Ratchet & Clank-I SALUTE YOU

i actually prefer the ps2 to tv watching. at least they are actually doing something in it, as opposed to sitting there with their eyes glued to the screen and brain switched off. there are i think a few more neurons involved in playing playstation.
and he never plays for that long anyways. he's already lost interest and we have had a 'conversation' through teh door about how she is a baby and she needs me and i should not be such a horrible mummy!

I feel soooo much better reading this one. My kids are constantly whinging no matter what I do with them. I try and spend quality time reading, painting, baking with them and they still find something to find/whinge about. They sit in front of the tv and they fight and whinge. Arrrrgh!! I can't even go to the toilet without the whinging voices shouting "MUUUUUUUUM".
You are perfectly normal (unless I'm not then we are abnormal together )

I have been at their beck and call since 8.30 this morning - literally. At 12.05pm I finally managed to make myself a slice of toast. Sat down to mn - sanctuary. Got halfway through - "Mummy, can I have a pritt stick". "Can I just finish this slice of toast?" "No, Mummy, I need it now". Foolish, foolish me for thinking I could get through a slice of toast uninterrupted
