DS is 18 months and sometimes when we're out for a walk or shopping and he's in the pushchair he will not keep his shoes or socks on. Try as I might he pulls them off and throws them into the street and sometimes gets really shouty when I put them back on .
Eventually I give up because they get launched every 3 seconds and if he gets cold feet perhaps he'll learn it's not nice and wear them. I've tried everything, even buying him lace up boots and tying them on really tight - nothing works. Short of making him wear girls tights I don't see what I can do - and that wouldn't solve the shoe part of the problem.
Thing is, people are always giving me dirty looks and tutting, and one man came up to me this afternoon all aggro saying "he'll freeze, you know!" Yeah, I do know, but I just said "well, what do you suggest", when I felt like telling him to feck off and mind his own business.
Does anyone elses kid do this? Is it a phase? And if there's nothing to be done about it, how do you handle the pain in the arse onlookers?
