My son is 18 months and it’s starting to drive me potty.

DD has never done this. She does plenty of other mad stuff though. No idea when that stops! Maybe you’ve got a budding Marie Kondo on your hands!

I hope it's soon as I can never find anything. My DD is 19mths and loves taking things from shelves/cupboards/boxes to put into random shopping bags. My DP regularly finds weird things in the snack bag he takes to work.

My dd loved doing this! I always let her pull out the basket with the plastic pots in and the silicone baking stuff. She would be completely happy with that for an hour and when she was done I could just scoop it all back for next time. Best to let them do it as they get past the stage quicker. I sat for an afternoon supervising her pulling all the books she could reach off the bookshelf and putting them back. She didn’t want to do it again after that.

Watching with intererst - my first never did it much but 17 month old DC2 is a nightmare for emptying cupboards/shelves/boxes onto the floor Angry

Oh god I shouldn't have opened this thread, my DD is only 13 months and this is still her very favourite thing.

DS is 2 and hasn't done this for a while now. He still likes to organise things but prefers to do it with his toys rather than tupperware/canned goods etc!

I properly loved this stage. I could get LOADS done round the house while DD1 was entertained pulling stuff out of cupboards. Waited till she was strapped into a a highchair for a meal then whizzed around and put it all back.

Now she’s 2.10 she just follows me round the house saying MUMMEEEEEEE CAN YOU PLAY XYZ whenever I try to so much as put a load of washing on or change her sister’s nappy.

My 22 month old was a nightmare for rooting around in cupboards but has thankfully stopped! Maybe a month ago or a bit more...it ends!
